If you want to use an image/content slider, also known as a carousel, then Smart Slider 3 will be a useful plugin. It integrates well with both Gutenberg and Beaver Builder. (Note: if you don’t use an image slider on your site, then you can go ahead and deactivate the plugin in WordPress.)

With Smart Slider 3, you create slide shows using the plugin, and then add them to your page layouts. Smart Slider offers online support, as well as training videos like these:
